Nine Different Coins Issued
Not all values of coins are issued every year, but there were 9 different British coin types issued in 1943.
The denominations were halfcrown, florin, sixpence, English shilling, Scottish shilling, silver threepence, brass threepence, halfpenny and farthing. No pennies were issued in 1943.
No Official Coin Sets
Way back in 1943, the Royal Mint were not in the habit of issuing proof or uncirculated coin sets every year. Proof or specimen coin sets were only issued on special occasions such as coronations and jubilees. It was not until 1970 that they started to issue coin sets every year for sale to collectors.
Nine Coin Selected Set
We can offer sets of all nine coins in selected condition, packaged in an attractive blue card.
1943 Sets Contain:
The nine pre-decimal coin types, halfcrown, florin, English shilling, Scottish shilling, sixpence, silver and brass threepences, halfpenny and farthing. Pennies were not issued in 1943.
All attractively packaged in a specially designed plastic case.
