Small Medallion commemorating ‘The Quatercentenary of the Birthday’ (sic) presumably the 400th anniversary of the birth of William Shakespeare, and 'A Kingdom for a Stage', which is presumably paraphrasing the famous line from Richard III, 'My Kingdom for a Horse'
William Shakespeare was of course, England’s greatest ever playwright, responsible for what are widely regarded as some of the greatest works ever written for the theatre in the English Language, including tragedies such as Romeo and Juliet, histories such as Richard III and ‘comedies’ such as Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Portrait of William Shakespeare and dates of his lifetime.
Reverse:
Depiction of the globe theatre surrounded by aforementioned legend.
Comes in wallet with certificate of authenticity from ‘Aurea Numismatica’.
