Preston Guild of 1972
The Mayor & Mayoress at the 1972 Preston Guild were brother and sister Fred & Evelyn Gray. The New Town Hall as seen on previous medals or medallions was unfortunately burnt down prior to the Guild celebration of 1972 and the now Preston Guild Hall & Charter Theatre was unfortunately not completed until after the 1972 Guild celebrations. The 1972 celebrations also saw the first joint church processions. Previously Anglican & Catholic churches held separte processions.
