2002 Cook Islands Battle of the Coral Sea 10 Ounce Silver Proof Colourised Coin
In 2002, the Cook Islands issued a very attractive large silver proof coin, struck by the Perth Mint, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the "Battle of the Coral Sea".
The special feature of this coin is that it is colour printed, and although we tend to be a little sceptical about gimmicky coins, this is probably the most attractive coloured coin we have yet seen.

Description
One of our fellow dealers has described this coin as the nicest and most attractive coins he has seen, and he does not normally like coloured coins. We agree with him. Obverse
Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, with the designers initials RDM, for Raphael Maklouf, on truncation of neck.
The legend reads:

Reverse
The reverse of this coin is colour printed. Probably because of its large size (over 3 inches in diameter) this has proved to be very effective on this coin.
We can probably do little better than quote from the "Certificate of Authenticity" which accompanies it:-

The central design features a three dimensional, full-colour image of the USS Lexington, depicted against the backdrop of a map of the Coral Sea with an F45F "Wildcat" Fighter and a Douglas TBD-1 Torpedo Bomber above.
The reverse legend reads:
