Beijing Olympics
The XXIX Olympiad was held in Beijing, China in 2008, beating bids from Toronto, Paris, Istanbul and Osaka, making it the third time for the olympics to be held in Asia. The Beijing summer olympics had the second largest television audience after London 2012.
Beijing promoted five mascots of the olympics (each representing an olympic ring), collectively called Fuwa. Each Fuwa is shown on the back of the five medallions.

Beibei - Blue - Friendly & a leader
Jingjing - Black - Honest & optimistic
Huanhuan - Red - extrovert & enthusiastic
Yingying - Orange - Lively & independent
Nini - Green - Just & kind
Each of the different mascots also represented each continent and when the names are linked together it should form the sentence "Beijing huanying ni" which means Beijing welcomes you.
