In 2009 the UK will issue a crown for the 500th anniversary of accession of Henry VIII in 1509, £2s for Charles Darwin & Origin of Species, Robert Burns, & 50 pence for Royal Botanic Garden at Kew
- 1509 - 2009 500th Anniversary of Accession of Henry VIII in 1509.
Five Pound Crown in cupro-nickel, silver, and gold.
- 1809 - 2009 Bicentenary of the Birth of Charles Darwin & 150th Anniversary of the Publication of "On The Origin of Species" in 1859.
Two Pounds, in bi-metallic base metal, silver, and gold.
- 1759 - 2009 250th Anniversary of the Birth of Robert Burns.
Two Pounds, in bi-metallic base metal, silver, and gold.
- 1759 - 2009 250th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew.
Fifty Pence, in cupro-nickel, silver, and gold.
- 2012 London Olympics
It's our guess that there will be a series of 2012 London Olympics Two Pound coin issued, from 2009 to 2012, following on from the 2008 Centenary of 1908 London Olympiad £2 coin.
