Each year since 1970, The Royal Mint has produced special editions of coin sets for collectors, which are also ideal as gifts. This year there are six variations of the coin sets, of which we will be stocking one, the 2013 UK Annual Brilliant Uncirculated Fifteen Coin Set.
Contains the eight circulating coins, from the Two Pounds down to the Penny, but please note they do not contain the commemorative coins or the Crown.
We will not be supplying these coin sets this year as we do not feel they offer value for money. The sets have a face value of £3.88, yet The Royal Mint are selling them for £25.
Contains the eight circulating coins, from the Two Pounds down to the Penny, plus the commemorative £5, £2's, £1's and the 50 pence.
Although not struck to the same standards as the proof coins, these coins are
also specially examined and selected before packaging. They are all superior to
the mass produced coins which are made for circulation because of the absence
of bag marks and scratches.
They are also packaged in a colourful attractive and informative folder.

All superbly packaged in a newly designed plastic case, and housed within
an attractive box, this set replaces the standard and deluxe set.
We will not be stocking this set as we do not believe it represents value for money. The sets have a face value of £13.50, yet The Royal Mint are selling them for £65.
This set contains the eight circulating coins, from £2 down to 1p, plus the commemorative £5, £2's, £1's and the 50 pence. They come packaged in a newly designed plastic case, and housed within an attractive box. The set comes with a certificate and information booklet about the coins. This set replaces the standard and deluxe set.

As the above Proof Sets, but also containing a Royal Mint Medal. This set replaces the Executive Set.
We will not be stocking these sets until they come on to the secondary market as demand is never particularly high. The sets have a face value of £17.33 + Premium Medal (!), yet The Royal Mint are selling them for £150.
We have recently bought one of these sets from the secondary market - a little sooner than we expected! We only have the one for now though, so once it has sold we won't be able to source any more until someone chooses to sell to us.
The set comes in an attractive wooden box, along with a certificate of authenticity and information booklet describing each of the coins and commemorative events.
