Star Trek: The Original Series U.S.S. Enterprise Silver Bullion Coin

In 2016, The Perth Mint - on behalf of Tuvalu - issued a silver bullion coin to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek: The Original Series.

The coins were released on the 5th July, 2016 and we received our stock on 28th July, 2016.

Star Trek: The Original Series

The original Star Trek series debuted in 1966 and continued for three seasons, until 1969. It was created by Gene Roddenberry.

The television series featured well-known characters, including the part-human part-Vulcan, Spock, Captain James T. Kirk and Dr. Leonard ‘Bones’ McCoy.

Since the original series aired, there have been several spin-off series, as well as blockbuster films.

Design

The coin features the U.S.S. Enterprise on the reverse.

The obverse shows the Ian Rank Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
