These 2017 Peter Rabbit coins are issued by The Royal Mint. This is the second Peter Rabbit coin produced, the first one being in 2016.

Peter Rabbit returns on this 2017 coin. He was first created in 1893, in a letter that Beatrix Potter sent to an ill child to cheer him up.
The character is named after Peter Piper, a pet rabbit Beatrix Potter had as a child.
Peter Rabbit appears on the reverse of the coin. It was designed by the Royal Mint engraver, Emma Noble, who has designed the other coins in the series. The silver proof version of the coin is coloured, whereas the uncirculated coin is not.
The obverse shows the new portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark.
This coin comes presented in a colourful folder.
The silver proof version of the coin incorporates colour printing technology. The reverse design of Peter Rabbit is printed in colour.
The coin comes in a perspex presentation block, and is accompanied by a booklet telling the history of Peter Rabbit.
The silver proof version has 'limited presentation' of 30,000 coins.
The BU version does not have a limited mintage figure.
