Anguilla is a small island at the northern end of the eastern Caribbean island chain, and is a self-governing British territory. Anguilla has an area of just 35 square miles. Recent years have seen tourism replace the fishing, stock raising and salt producation as the main industry.

Anguilla first issued gold coins in 1969. These are all proof commemorative issues. Anguilla currently uses the East Caribbean Dollar as its currency
