Featured is a brass sestertius of Antoninus Pius. Featuring a winged Victory carrying a trophy right. The reverse commemorates Antoninus Pius' second triumph, awarded to him in honour of the victory won over the rebellious British tribes by Governor Lollius Urbicus in 143 A.D.
This coin is quite substantial at 34.01 grams, and the sestertius is one of the best known ancient coin denominations, and was used as a unit of account.
