First published in 1964, it has been through four revisions up to 1988.
The new millennium edition is completely revised and expanded, and will now be in four volumes, although this was expected to be only two volumes when revision started.
Volume 1 covers the Roman Republic from 280 BC through to 96 AD and Domitian.

Volume 2 from Nerva to the end of the Severan dynasty, AD96 to AD 235.
Volume 2, Price £50

Volume 3. The accession of Maximinus I to the Death of Carinus, AD 235 - 285.
Volume 3, Published September 2005, available now £50.

Volume 4. The accession of Diocetian to the Death of Anastasius I, AD 285 - 518.
Volume 4, Expected publication late 2006.

The old, single volume work was always our first thought when cataloguing any Roman coin, the new volumes 1 and 2 are even better, but we can hardly wait for Volume 3 to arrive.
