Since the introduction of EU employment law setting out a maximum 48 hour working week, Lawrence Chard starts breaking the law by about Thursday most weeks.

By Friday, Saturday and Sunday, he is definitely over the limit, and tries to take it a little easier, but still gets to about 70 or 80 hours most weeks. At peak periods, he may sometimes exceed twice the limit at 96 hours.
