Bulgaria
Bulgaria is so named because the area was settled by a people known as the Bulgars who originated from Central Asia. Bulgaria was once part of the Soviet Bloc, but is now a member of NATO and the European Union. Its capital is Sophia.

The current currency of Bulgaria is Lev. However Bulgaria is due to join the euro in 2015.
