In 2012, the Royal Canadian Mint started a wonderful new series of glow in the dark coins featuring prehistoric animals.
Glow-in-the-dark Coins
At Chard, we don't usually rate novelty coins. They are often quite crudely made, over-marketed and over-priced. However, we were quite excited to see the first coin in this series.
We managed to fit six members of staff in a small cupboard under the stairs and we were all really pleased with the effects.
We've eagerly awaited the rest of the series and are pleased to be able to offer it to you!
We believe there were problems with orignal production, which was bound to be complicated. Our blog post from 10th April 2012 argues whether they really have a place in numismatics.
