Ceylon Sapphire & Princess Cut Diamonds
This ring is one of our 1998 Designs, but already a classic. We make it in almost every combination of gemstones, although we had not until recently managed to find a set of ceylon sapphires.
Each stone is approximately 3mm square, and is set very cleanly and securely using a rub-over or grain setting. This is very practical, there are no claws to catch or snag, and it is much stronger than channel setting.
The ring pictured in our photograph was a special order for a lady from Holland. We had been trying to find a set of ceylon sapphires for some time, and were not certain we could get a set quickly. As it happens, our customer was not in a hurry, and we managed to find a set very quickly.
Her husband, being a conservative Dutchmen, was reticent about her buying through the internet, so it was with particular pleasure that we received a telephone call from her on the day it was delivered, letting us know that she was delighted with the ring, and the the finger size was correct. Another job well done!
