In 2004, the United Kingdom issued a piedfort crown. This was the first ever British coin issued in platinum.
In 2005, 2006, and 2007, it repeated its platinum issues with more piedfort proof crowns, and we guess there will be one for 2008 also.

Platinum "Bullion" Britannias
Introduced for the first time in 2007 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the gold Britannia bullion coins. Whether this will be a one-off, or will be repeated next year, we do not know.
