Marquise Sapphire Cluster
One of our classic but exclusive designs.
The deep blue large centre marquise sapphire measures 16 x 8 mm, and is set using twelve claws.
The twelve diamonds are semi-claw set. They are actually grain or pavé set into the white gold bezel, but the outer edge of the bezel is pierced and shaped into claws. This is quite a traditional English style, sometimes referred to as a coronet.
From the side view, the bezel is cut into an "organ-pipe" shaped gallery, and the yellow gold underbezel has a scalloped edge to blend into the outline of the ring head.
We decided for this ring to use a twin shank opening out into a fleur-de-lys shoulder.

The overall dimensions of the ring are 21.5mm long, 15mm wide, and 7.5mm high to the top of the sapphire.
We feel this ring makes an excellent large cluster with a really pleasant balance throughout, but then, having designed it, we are slightly biased!
