Specifications
Exact specifications vary between different countries, and possibly between different issues. Most contain one kilo of fine silver, but the French coin only weights one kilogramme gross weight of .95 silver, and therefore contains only 950 grams of fine silver. We consider this to be a mild case of short change from the Monnaie de Paris, especially at the very high issue price they habitually charge.
