Reverse of Tacitus Antoninianus
Spes Publica

Tacitus 275 - 276 A.D.

Featured is an antoninianus of Tacitus, who succeeded Aurelian six months after the latter's assasination. Tacitus' greatest historical achievement is probably promoting and preserving the histories of his namesake and alleged ancestor. Already an old man when he came to the purple, Tacitus died the following year whilst campaiging against the Franks.
