Trajan Decius
249 - 251

See our Roman Historical Notes For further information on this Emperor.

The featured coin is an antoninianus of Trajan Decius. Victoria (or Victory) is depicted on the reverse. Ironically enough, Decius' reign was notorious for seeing the first time a Roman Emperor fled in defeat before a barbarian army, and he was later killed in another losing battle against Goths in 251 A.D.
