1694 Farthing of William & Mary
Farthings (and Halfpennies) were struck in both tin and copper for William and Mary's reign. The tin coinage (with a copper plug) was introduced in order to help the ailing Cornish tin industry during a downturn.
This particular farthing is copper.
Obverse:

Reverse:
The reverse features Britannia, seated left, holding a branch and spear, her left arm rests on a Union Flag decorated shield.
The legend reads:-
BRITANNIA 1694
