In 1974, Hallmark Replicas issued a number of £1 replica stamps in 22 carat gold, struck by the Royal Mint in London. These medallions reproduce the design of the special stamps issued in 1929 to commemorate the Postal Union Congress held in London that year.
The issue limit was 3,000.

Description
The main part of the design shows St. George killing a dragon, similar to the design on a gold sovereign. There is a crowned portrait of King George V on the left.
