George V Bare Head
First introduced as a circulation coin in 1834 (for colonial use originally), the silver threepence continued to be struck during George V's reign. However, in 1920, the fineness was reduced from 0.925 to 0.500 fine, as was also the case with the other silver denominations.

Obverse:
Modified bare head of George V facing right.
The obverse inscription reads:
GEORGIVS V D G BRITT OMN REX F D IND IMP

Reverse:
The reverse design consists of three oak sprigs with three acorns along with the legend 'Three Pence' and the date.

Edge
The edge is plain.
