Not all values of coins are issued every year, but there were 10 different British coin types issued in 1944.

No Official Coin Sets
Way back in 1944, the Royal Mint were not in the habit of issuing proof or uncirculated coin sets every year. Proof or specimen coin sets were only issued on special occasions such as coronations and jubilees. It was not until 1970 that they started to issue coin sets every year for sale to collectors.

1944 Gold Coins
There were no sovereigns or gold sovereigns issued in 1944, but htis link may help you nto find other gold coins dated 1944. It is a difficult year for gold coins, as we can find only four countries which issued gold coins in 1944, and the only one we can remember seeing is a scarce Romanian one.
