Gold Medallion commemorating the 750th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta or 'Great Charter' at Runnymede in 1215, when a Baronial revolt compelled King John to sign the Charter guaranteeing the rights of England's subjects not to be governed arbitrarily by the Crown. This was the forerunner of the Bill of Rights and most of the world's written constitutions guaranteeing the rights of their citizens.
