1969 Prince Charles' Investiture Medallions
Prince Charles was created The Prince of Wales and Earl of Chester in 26 July 1958, though his actual investiture did not take place until 1 July 1969
A number of medallists issued medals or medallions to celebrate the occasion.
The medal featured on this page is in silver-gilt (gold-plated on fine silver), and was engraved by Paul Vincze.
It is unlisted on Spink's "Catalogue of British Commemorative Medals 1158 to the present day", by Daniel Fearon.

Obverse
A youthful-looking Prince Charles facing right, with the legend:
H.R.H. CHARLES PRINCE OF WALES
With the engravers name P. VINCZE below the neck.

Reverse
A crown above the Prince of Wales plumes, with Caernafon Castle below. The legend reads:
