1978 Coronation 25th Anniversary Medallion in Platinum
This platinum medallion was issued by the Westminster Abbey Trust, and struck by the Royal Mint to commemorate the twenty-fifth anniversary in 1978 of the Coronation of Elizabeth II in 1953.
Very appropriately for a silver jubilee, it was also struck in silver. There were two different sizes issued, ours is the smaller one, which is actually very impressive. We have yet to see the larger version in platinum, although we have seen them in silver.

Obverse
A throne with the words 25TH ANNIVERSARY across the front of it, and the inscription around the edge:-
