'The Original' Lifeboat

'The Original' is a lifeboat launched in 1790. During its 42 years in service the boat was used to save over 300 lives without losing a crew member.

Obverse

The obverse shows an image of the lifeboat in action. The text reads - 1790 LIFEBOAT BI-CENTENARY 'THE ORIGINAL'.

Reverse
The reverse is a shield bearing various heraldic devices, presumably symbolising the Royal Mint, with the legend:- ROYAL MINT
