Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee
To commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2012, Chard have commissioned this magnificent medallion. It is available in two versions, one with the young head reverse, the other version with the crown design.

Obverse
The obverse or head side of each medal shows a portrait of the Queen facing right by Donald R. Golder, surrounded by the inscription:-

Reverse - Young Head
The reverse features the first portrait of the Queen by Mary Gillick. Surrounding the outside are sixty diamonds to represent sixty years on the throne.
The inscription reads:
DIAMOND JUBILEE
MCMLII MMXII

Reverse - Crown
The reverse features the Tudor Crown, again with sixty diamonds to represent sixty years on the throne.
The inscription reads:
DIAMOND JUBILEE
