To celebrate the christening of Princess Charlotte, The Royal Mint have issued a £5 crown. This is the second coin issued in her honour, the other being the Royal Birth £5 crown.
It is the first UK coin to celebrate the christening of a Royal Princess.
This is the fourth commemorative £5 crown to be issued this year, the others being for the 50th Anniversary of the Death of Sir Winston Churchill, the 200th Anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo and the Royal Birth of Princess Charlotte.
When the Prince George Christening £5 was released in 2013, we sold out of the silver proof version within the week.
We received our first delivery on 24th August, 2015.

Princess Charlotte was christened on 5th July, 2015. The christening took place at St Mary Magdalene Church at the Queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk. The service was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
Charlotte's grandmother, Princess Diana, was baptised in the same church on 30th August, 1961. It is also where the Royal family attend their Christmas Day worship each year.
Princess Charlotte is fourth in line to the throne.
Reverse
The coin is a very similar design to the 2013 Prince George Christening £5 and was designed by the same engraver, John Bergdahl. Interestingly, whilst the prince's coin referred to him as 'Prince George' on the reverse, Charlotte's coin features her full name - Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
The coin was inspired by the lily font which has been used for the baptism of royal babies since Queen Victoria's time.
Obverse
The obverse features the fifth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Royal Mint designer, Jody Clark.
The new coin will be available in silver, in keeping with the long-established tradition of crossing a newborn baby’s palm with silver to bring good health and prosperity.
The silver proof coin will come encapsulated inside a presentation box, with an informational booklet.
