First Fifth Portrait Britannia Coins

On 2nd March, 2015, The Royal Mint unveiled a new effigy of the Queen designed by engraver Jody Clark. Whilst the 2015 bullion Britannias feature the fourth portrait of the Queen on the obverse, the 2015 proof Britannias feature the new, fifth portrait.

Nautical Britannia

The reverse of the 2015 proof Britannia was designed by artist, Antony Dufort, who also designed the 2015 Definitive Britannia £2 Coin. It features a contemporary Britannia, bringing her into the new era. The design has a nautical theme, with a ship sailing in the background,

Britannia Silver

As in recent years, the 2015 silver Britannia will be struck in 0.999 fineness. It has a face value of £2 and contains one troy ounce of silver.

Limited Presentation

The 1oz coins have a limited presentation of just 3,000.

Investment Silver
