The Royal Mint have released a series of coins to commemorate the life and works of Beatrix Potter. The first Beatrix Potter coin celebrates her life and is available here.
The other coins in the series feature Mrs Tiggy-Winkle, Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddle-Duck.
We received our first delivery of coins on 31st August, 2016.

On 18th April, 2016, we noticed the mint have sold out of the individual silver proof Beatrix Potter coloured coins and are no longer accepting orders for them.
The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin tells the story of a squirrel whose teasing nature costs him most of his tail. The story was published in August, 1903.
The reverse shows Squirrel Nutkin. It was designed by the Royal Mint engraver, Emma Noble, who has designed the other coins in the series. The silver proof version of the coin is coloured, whereas the uncirculated coin is not.
The obverse shows the new portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark.
This coin comes presented in a colourful folder.
The silver proof version of the coin incorporates colour printing technology. The reverse design of Squirrel Nutkin is printed in colour.
The coin comes in a perspex presentation block, and is accompanied by a booklet telling the story of Squirrel Nutkin.
The silver proof version has a 'limited presentation' of 15,000 coins. This does not mean that only 15,000 will be minted - it means the amount that will be presented in the Perspex block. Theoretically, the mint could produce millions more in a different presentation box.
We think the mint is likely to bring out a set featuring the four silver proof coins, later in the year.
