Since 1970, the Royal Mint have produced collector coin sets. They are the ideal gift for birthdays, anniversaries or collectors.
There are four different coin sets produced for the year 2017 coins. We are stocking the 2017 UK Annual Brilliant Uncirculated Thirteen Coin Set.
The brand new, 12-sided one pound coin is featured in the set. It is not released into circulation until March, 2017. The reverse of the coin was designed by 15-year-old David Pearce, and shows the Nations of the Crown. It was chosen following a public competition.
This set had all the circulating coins in it, from the definitive £2, down to the penny. It includes the new, 12-sided £1 coin. The set also includes the five commemorative issue, celebrating King Canute, The House of Windsor, Jane Austen, World War I Aviation and Sir Isaac Newton.
The coins are struck in BU quality, which, although not up to the same standards as proof, they are superior to the mass produced coins.
They are also packaged in a colourful attractive and informative folder.
We received the coin sets on 28th January, 2017.
