A tradition has developed over the years, associating certain anniversaries with particular gifts. We present a table of both the British and American versions.
We must admit that we do not know the origins or history of these particular associations. We have also seen numerous other lists showing different gifts for many of the years. The cynical may wish to believe that this is merely marketing by the gift industry!
