Ascension Island
Ascension Island is part of the British Overseas territory of St Helena, Ascension Island and Tristan de Cunha. Ascension Island is perhaps most famous for being a major staging post for British Forces during the Falklands War in 1982.

Ascension has issued its own coinage, all commemorative, since 1978, St. Helena since 1973, while St. Helena and Ascension have issued coins in joint names since 1984, including normal circulation coinage.
