Cayman Islands Coins
Cayman Islands own coins were first issued in 1972, before this Jamaican coins were used. The 1972 coin issued for the Queen's silver wedding anniversary were the first British coins for 300 years to portray a living person or a member of the Royal Family other than the reigning monarch. The Cayman Islands currency is the Cayman Islands Dollar, with the sub unit being the cent.
