eBay Copyright Image Cheats

coinstar109 in eBay Copyright Theft
coinstar109 of Knutsford, United Kingdom, used about 20 of our Proof Crown & other coin images without permission, failed to tell buyers that the coins pictured were not the ones they would receive.
He also copied and pasted all the content of many of our web pages either in addition or in place of our photographs.
What was particularly sneaky and devious of coinstar109 was that he used his own photos in his gallery listings, making it more difficult and less likely for us to find them, and used our pictures in his item descriptions.

High eBay Feedback is No Guarantee of Integrity or Honesty

eBay Copyright Thieves
Many eBay vendors use our coin photographs to sell inferior quality coins on eBay. These eBay members are dishonest and should be avoided.
We believe eBay profits from IP rights infringements (copyright theft), and does so knowingly, only removing infringing items reluctantly, if at all.

What's Wrong?
We invest a great deal of time, effort, and cost into creating some of the best photographic coin images on the internet. We strongly object when lazy and dishonest people decide to use them without a by your leave or thanks, doing so in competition with us.
Copyright theft is dishonest. We recommend you avoid doing business with dishonest dealers.
This particular eBay seller not only stole about 20 our high quality copyright photographs of 10 different coins, but failed to inform potential buyers that the coins in the photographs were not the ones he owns, or that they will be bidding on. This is deception.
Sadly, it is also typical of eBay!
On the listing we show, he did not use our text, on some listings, he stole our text, but not our photos. Weird!

Bandwidth Bandit!
Most image thieves avoid calling our images from our server, but it happens occasionally. This steals our bandwidth as well as our images. It probably also saves the crook from paying extra to eBay in image hosting costs, despite there being many third party free image hosting websites.
On the positive side, it gives us a rare opportunity for a little fun at the expense of the image bandit. It does involve us in a little extra work, but the fun we get from it outweighs the effort, and we also get the opportunity to share it with others:-
