Ingram Liberman - The London Coin Company
eBay Lisiing by Ingram Liberman - The London Coin Company

Ingram Liberman - The London Coin Company
Ingram Liberman (ingramliberman) aka The London Coin Company is another dishonest eBay seller who stole our copyright images.
We believe eBay profits from IP rights infringements (copyright theft), and does so knowingly, only removing infringing items reluctantly, if at all.

eBay Copyright Theft
Many eBay sellers, including dealers steal our copyright images, we suspect some of them may also be fraudsters. Does eBay care?

Is eBay Really a Lottery? - Is This Seller a Crook?
Whenever we send copyright infringement notices to eBay, which is a daily occurrence, we include a paragraph warning or alerting them that in our experience, may people who steal our images also steal other things, and that if a vendor uses stolen images, it is likely that he does not own the items he is offering for sale. eBay appear to take no notice of our "good neighbour" advice, and usually allow the seller to relist the same or similar items, sometimes they steal other people's images as well.
In a significant number of cases, although we don't keep count, we notice that a few weeks later, the seller is "no longer a registered user". We never get any feedback or thanks from eBay, but our guess is that the seller has failed to deliver the goods after being paid, buyers have complained to eBay or the police, and his membership has been revoked. Because we don't receive any feedback, we can only guess, and it does seem that eBay goes to great lengths to avoid bad publicity.

Power Sellers - Pillars of the eBay Community?
Yet another dishonest eBay PowerSeller.
Feedback 4,522 - 99.9% Positive.
In our growing opinion, it just goes to show, that not only can you not trust eBay sellers, you should be particularly wary of eBay PowerSellers, and do not trust the eBay feedback system, or the PowerSeller symbol.

Copyright Theft is Dishonest - Can You Trust This eBay Vendor?
Using other people's copyright images is against eBay's rules, it is illegal, it is dishonest, and it is unethical. Using the hard work of a fellow dealer to sell the same goods in competition with him demonstrates an extremely low standard of ethics. We would not recommend anybody to transact business with this person or company.

Notes
Seller ID. There is nothing to stop eBay members changing their "Seller ID", or opening a new account.
Item Number. We may have shown only one out of many similar items.
Date = End date or date added to this page if item still current.
Description = Description as used by the seller as his item title.
Price = Final selling price if known, otherwise "Current Price", or "Starting bid".

What's In A Name?
If you get caught out too many times, eBay will always let you change your name. This particular eBay seller has as many IDs as Carlos the Jackal, including the grandly titled and important sounding "THE LONDON COIN COMPANY LTD" (thelondoncoincompany), with websites: www.GoldProof.co.uk, www.SilverProof.co.uk, www.CoinCollectables.co.uk; there may be more names out there...

Rip-Off Prices

2003 UK ELIZ II £5 POUND 22K GOLD CROWN COIN COA 40G
RARE 2003 UNITED KINGDOM ELIZABETH II BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED SOLID 22K GOLD £5 FIVE POUND CROWN COIN MINT CONDITION IN ORIGINAL ROYAL MINT BOX WITH CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY WEIGHT: 39.94 GRAMS / DIAMETER: 36.02 MM VERY RARE & COLLECTABLE LIMITED ISSUE OF 812
Apart from using all capitals (why the need to shout?), and the fact that this item is not a Crown as described, and is not Rare as described, it is priced at £1,079.95! At the time we wrote this, our price for the same coin would have been only about £695, so a buyer could have saved £384.95 by buying from a reputable established dealer like ourselves instead of some dodgy character off eBay.
Perhaps we ought to increase our prices. How does £725 sound?

Misleading Descriptions
When we started this page, we thought for a moment that our question "Is This Seller a Crook?", could be just a touch on the strong side, but then, when we took a quick look at his feedback, we noticed what appeared to be a bargain...

2003 PIEDFORT WINSTON CHURCHILL $2 GOLD PROOF COIN COA
2003 EAST CARIBBEAN STATES ELIZABETH II PIEDFORT SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL $2 TWO DOLLAR 24K GOLD PROOF COIN COMMEMORATING THE LIFE OF SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL (1874 - 1965) MINT CONDITION WITH CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY WEIGHT: 56.56 GRAMS / DIAMETER: 38.61 MM VERY COLLECTABLE LIMITED EDITION BY THE ROYAL MINT
Listed under Coins: Coins: British: Proof Sets/ Coins: 2000s (A misleading and incorrect category - in breach of eBay listing policy).
It had sold as a Buy It Now for £44.95!
This sounded like a ridiculous bargain, until we read the listing for the second or third time, checked the coin in Krause, and noticed what we, and most likely the buyer, had missed on the first reading.
More to follow...

Every month another eBay crook (member) seems to have the bright idea of conning mugs and punters into buying these silver medallions as "Pattern Gold Sovereigns".
Our friend features on this page too.

We already have a page naming and shaming dealers using our images without permission. It's time we did the same for eBay, although if we include them all, this could be a very long page.
