Gold Medallion of Sir Winston Spencer Churchill
In 1965 a number of medallists produced medals or medallions of Sir Winston Churchill, in gold, silver or bronze.
The medal we feature on this page is one of the best, in our opinion, and was issued by A. Edward Jones of Birmingham. It is a magnificent large uniface medal with a realistic and lifelike portrait of the great man in semi profile to the left. It is beautifully engraved, struck in high relief.

Description - Large Medallion
A certificate which accompanies the medallion states:-

This Gold Medallion has been struck to commemorate the life of the Rt. Hon. Sir winston Churchill, K.G., O.M., C.H., M.P., 1874 - 1965, "The greatest man of our time."
The design portrays Sir Winston Churchill when he was at the height of his power and fame during the second World War.
Only 500 of these Medallions have been struck, and this certifies Number (294) which number also appears on the back of this Medallion.

Buying & Selling
Buyers and sellers alike may be interested to note that gold medallions like these often trade at prices close to their intrinsic metal value. While this may not be what sellers wish to hear, it should delight potential buyers.
At the time of creating this page, we had a one of these medallions in stock, and would be happy to sell it for a modest premium over their intrinsic gold content, however as with many pages of our website, this page has a dual purpose, to sell our stock, and to provide information. If you have a similar medallion, which you would like to sell, we would be pleased to hear from you.
