Universal Exhibition of London 1862
This large attractive medallion was issued to commemorate the Universal Exhibition of London in 1862.
It is struck in a non-precious metal and weighs 44.52 grams.
The engraver's signature on this medallion is that of G.R. Collis.
The medallion is of impressive size, and is struck in high relief.

Obverse
Young head of Victoria, facing left, with her hair in her familiar "bun", with two ribbons. This portrait is very similar to that which appears on the young head coinage of Victoria engraved by Antoine Bovy.

The reverse shows the famous exhibition building engraved by Charles Massonnet.
