What's Wrong?
We invest a great deal of time, effort, and cost into creating some of the best photographic coin images on the internet. We strongly object when lazy and dishonest people decide to use them without a by your leave or thanks, doing so in competition with us.
Copyright theft is dishonest. We recommend you avoid doing business with dishonest dealers.
This particular eBay seller not only stole Both of Our 2002 Alderney Silver Proof Crown images, she states the coin is in "good" condition, and fails to inform her potential buyers that the coin in the photograph is not the one she owns, or that they will be bidding on. This is deception.
Sadly, it is also typical of eBay!
He also could not be bothered to turn off his "Caps Lock" key. How lazy can he get?
Of course, he could be a cockroch called Archie, or perhaps he always shouts. Strangely, he could not find his "Shift" key when it came to the name of his town Barnsley.
He is also stating the coin to be "Rare", which it is not, although when did the truth get in the way of an eBay seller?
He also listed it under the wrong category, British Coins instead of Channel Islands.

Price
He started his coin at a starting price of £5, and it "sold" for £25, undoubtedly helped by our beautiful images.
If it had been the perfect silver proof shown in our picture, it would have been worth around £30, so it looks as though buyers were not fooled, but this kind of listing also cheats any genuine eBay vendor who might have the real thing, and who lose credibility because of all the cheats and crooks, and also because of eBay's tolerance of copyright abuse and dishonesty.
