Model Coin of Queen Victoria
Obverse
This small "coinlet" has on the obverse a crowned portrait of Queen Victoria as a young girl with her hair braided, with the inscription "VICTORIA REG.". "Reg" is an abbreviation of regina, the latin for queen, so the legend translates as Queen Victoria.
Reverse
The reverse side has a simple inscription in six lines:-

1838.
Family Collection
This medallion appears to be part of a "family set", as we have seen at least three different designs of the same size and style. We do not currently know how many were issued or when.
