Pearl Necklet
We do not usually feature pearls in our stock, because we tend to concentrate on diamond rings and gold jewellery. However, last year we worked together with a major pearl importer to provide two complementary special offers.
Last years offer is now discontinued as we can no longer provide similar pearls for the same price, however we recently came across an even more remarkable offer which we believe represents excellent value for money.

Unfortunately we have now completely sold out of all of our stocks of pearl necklets and are unable to source any similar

Necklet
A 16" to 17" strand of cultured pearls, containing approximately 99 pearls, each about 4.5 mm to 4.75 mm diameter. The strand is knotted several times near each end for extra security, and the necklet comes complete with a simple nine carat gold bolt ring and end ring.
The pearls are an attractive creamy pinkish colour, with good lustre, smooth regular round appearance, and are well matched.

We believe these freshwater pearls would be a great gift for any of these occasions. We have even better prices for quantity purchases.

Quality and Value in Pearls
The value of pearls depend on several factors: size, colour, surface, regularity of shape, lustre, and quality of matching. In recent years, the pearl producers have over-produced, creating a buyers market, with excellent value available in some qualities.
The quality and price of freshwater pearls vary enormously, but often provide excellent value. Most low-priced freshwater pearls are very irregular in shape, somewhat like a shrivelled grain of rice, but still attractive.
Smooth, well rounded freshwater pearls with good colour and lustre can be quite expensive, equaling the price of cultured akoya pearls.
the freshwater pearls in our offer are, in our opinion, excellent quality, very regular in shape, well rounded, with a good creamy pinkish colour. We would not be surprised to see similar pearls for sale at up to £100 per necklet.
We showed our pearls to a friendly local retail jeweller and asked what he would value them at. He quite rightly pointed out that the price of freshwater pearls was extremely variable, but for a high quality like these... £120?
In the 24 hours since receiving our samples, we have sold 2 strings (to a Scot!), and everybody who has seen them has been very astounded by the low price.

Pearl Care
It is best to avoid spraying perfume onto pearls as it can ruin their lustre and the stringing. Put your pearls on after applying your perfume.
