The Very Highest Quality Platinum Wedding Rings... |
Platinum Wedding Rings |
Platinum is a wonderful choice of metal for wedding rings. Of course, if you prefer the yellow colour of gold, then you should choose 18 carat or 22 carat wedding rings, but if your preference is for white, then you cannot choose better than platinum.
Platinum is naturally "white", actually silvery gray, so that it does not need rhodium plating like white gold alloys, and it never discolours or tarnishes. In addition, platinum is very strong and hard-wearing.
With today's fashion for the understatement of white metals, platinum is a natural and popular choice.
Most of our platinum wedding rings are made from a solid piece of .950 platinum, without any joins. They are stamped out of a solid sheet of metal, and then hammered by brute force into a "blank" wedding ring shape. From this stage, we polish, facet, diamond cut, hammer, hand engrave, or sandblast them to create your individual wedding ring to order.
For the whole process, we usually consider a month's notice to be a rush job, and we prefer plenty of time, about three months, to be able to produce a high quality ring. If you need your platinum ring faster than that, you may have to buy it elsewhere, in which case it will probably cost you about 50% more than ours, even if you can get the same high quality. we do carry some in stock, which we will happily sell, but their purpose is to act as samples.
