Ruby is the usual name for transparent red corundum. Ruby is red or pink. Blue or any other colour of corundum is usually called sapphire.

Unusually for us this ring is not one of our own designs, we have bought it in on the secondary market.
This ring features an oval ruby rim set in a 22ct band with split shoulders. The ruby measures 7.5mm x 5.5mm and we have calculated it to be approximately 1.15ct.
Because this is not one of our own designs we would struggle to make another...so if you like it you had better be quick because when it's gone, it's gone!
