Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,, is an Arab country and the largest country of the Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered by Jordan on the northwest, Iraq on the north and northeast, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates on the east, Oman on the southeast, and Yemen on the south. The Persian Gulf lies to the northeast and the Red Sea to its west. Saudi Arabia is the world's leading petroleum exporter. The economy is based on oil, which provides 85% of it's revenue.

The riyal is the currency of Saudi Arabia. It is subdivided into 100 halala. In 1925, transitional copper coins for and ghirsh were minted, followed by , and 1 ghirsh pieces minted in cupro-nickel in 1926. In 1935, the first coins were issued in the name of Saudi Arabia, these were silver , and 1 riyal coins.In 1963, the halala was introduced and bronze 1 halala coins were issued. In 1976, cupro-nickel 1 riyal coins were introduced, which are also inscribed with the denomination 100 halala. Bimetallic 1 riyal coins were issued in 1999.

Saudi Arabian Gold Coins
Only a small number of different gold coin designs, five, have ever been issued by Saudi Arabia.
The Hejira date 1370 is from October 13th 1950 to October 1st 1951.
