Fine Silver Guernesey Doubles
Struck by the Guernsey Independent Mint in a limited issue, an uncirculated investment quality one ounce .999 fine silver coin.
The one double was legal tender and first minted in 1830. They were unlike most other world coinage as they did not feature the current head of state, the local government used a strictly Guernesiais motif.
The origional seal bore the three lions of England, crowned later to become leopards, surmounted by a branch to represent the broom or 'plantagenista', Edward I badge of rank.
Below the seal was the French spelling of 'Guernesey', the legal and everyday language of the Island at the time.

The obverse shows the Royal Coat-of-Arms, three leopards passant in a shield surrounded by a branch with the inscription:
