This ring is in a classic style.
With a strong knife edge shank, and a 6 claw set white gold collet, it is also very much in fashion right now.
Diamond Weight 0.71 carats.
The shank itself (the yellow gold bit), we term our "heavy knife edge" shank. It is attractive and elegant, but at the same time strong and sturdy.
It has become a "Chard classic". We love it to death, and so do many of our customers. Don't think though that every ring we make looks the same, it's just that we use this shank in combination with many different solitaire settings, and also for many of our cluster mounts.

The collet or setting is also a classic. It is stamped or die-struck in three pieces which are then assembled into a very strong, secure and rigid setting for your diamond.
Stamping the collet produces a far stronger component than casting. As you can appreciate, a diamond needs to be very securely set, and yet the claws and setting need to be unobtrusive, so as not to detract from the beauty of the diamond.
We have shown a side view of this ring, so that you can see for yourself that the strength of the setting is concealed beneath the diamond.

Even the weight of this mount indicates our philosophy of quality and value. It weighs 4.4 grams. Many similar looking diamond solitaires weigh about 2.5 grams, so ours is about 76% heavier than most!
