USA D-Day Landings
During 1991-1995, the USA issued special commemorative silver dollars to commemmorate World War Two.
Obverse
This particular coin issued in 1993 shows a US soldier running across war-ground with his gun held out in front of him. It also states the date of D-Day, June 6, 1944 and the official motto of the United States; IN GOD WE TRUST.
Reverse
The reverse shows a quote from Dwight D. Eisenhower's message to the troops:
"I HAVE FULL
CONFIDENCE IN YOUR
COURAGE, DEVOTION TO
DUTY AND SKILL IN BATTLE.
WE WILL ACCEPT NOTHING
LESS THAN FULL VICTORY!"
